Tensions escalated as supporters of Durga Prasain clashed with the police while attempting to march from Balkhu to Kuleshwor today.

The subsequent use of tear gas and water cannons by the police triggered a physical clash, intensifying the standoff between the demonstrators and law enforcement. The confrontation unfolded after law enforcement faced a barrage of stones from the crowd attempting to breach the designated area.

Before that, a clash unfolded during a motorcycle rally organized near Balkhu Chowk in Kathmandu, where Prasai’s supporters reportedly pelted stones at Yuva Sangh Nepal’s supporters.

Balkhu Chowk was assigned to Durga Prasain’s group for the demonstrations, and the Tinkune area was designated for Yuva Sangh Nepal.

The situation is reported to be normal as of now.
