Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has embarked on a visit to New Delhi to attend the swearing-in ceremony of his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi.

Leading a five-member delegation, Prime Minister Dahal departed for the Indian capital on Sunday afternoon.

Accompanying him on this diplomatic mission are his daughter Ganga Dahal, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Padam Giri, Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal, and other senior government officials.

The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place at Rashtrapati Bhavan at 7:15 pm on Sunday. President Draupadi Murmu will administer the oath to Modi in the presence of 8,000 guests from around the world. This marks Modi’s third term as Prime Minister of India.

Following the ceremony, Prime Minister Dahal is set to have a bilateral meeting with Modi, who leads the Bharatiya Janata Party. According to the Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi, this meeting is planned for the evening, where discussions on enhancing bilateral relations are expected.
