National Martyrs’ Day was celebrated today in memory of those martyrs of Nepal who sacrificed their lives for the establishment, restoration and freedom of democracy in different eras.

An event was organised today by the Kathmandu metropolis at the Lainchaur-based Martyrs’ Monument to commemorate Martyrs’ Day.

During the event, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) expressed that the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the nation are immortal. Similarly, PM Dahal urged everyone to join hands and dedicate ourselves to the well-being of the nation and fulfill the dream of national martyrs.
