Various women’s rights organizations commenced a rally in Kathmandu on Thursday, on the eve of International Women’s Day celebrated annually on March 8th.
Starting from Bhrikutimandap, the rally followed the Padmodaya route, passing through Putlisdak Baghbazar, and returning to Bhrikutimandap, eventually converging at an assembly.
Placards with slogans advocating for political accountability and an end to gender-based exploitation emphasized the significance of women’s rights and the 118th International Women’s Day. Numerous events and programs are slated to champion the cause of women across the nation.
