The House of Representatives has successfully passed the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2081/82. The budget was approved by a majority vote during a meeting held on Tuesday.

Finance Minister Barshman Pun presented the Appropriation Bill, 2081, to the House of Representatives, where it was subsequently debated and voted on. Following the deliberations, the bill received majority support from the parliamentarians.

With the necessary majority in favor, Speaker Devraj Ghimire officially announced the passage of the Appropriation Bill, 2081.

The Appropriation Bill passed by the House of Representatives will now be forwarded to the National Assembly. Once the bill is approved by the upper house, it will come into force upon receiving the President’s signature.
