Flooded Kathmandu because of continuous rainfall (In Photos)

Due to continuous rain, the water levels in rivers and streams flowing through the Kathmandu Valley have increased, affecting the banks and surrounding settlements. Road traffic has been disrupted as the main road is flooded, leading to chaos during office hours with vehicles stuck in long jams for hours.

The influence of monsoon air is currently present across the country. The monsoon will be active today and tomorrow, with a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains, according to the Weather Forecasting Department of the Water and Meteorology Department.

Currently, light to moderate rain is falling in many places across all provinces, with generally changing weather conditions throughout the country. The department has mentioned in its weather bulletin that there is a possibility of very heavy rain in one or two places in the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini regions.
