Nira Pandey case: robbery turned into murder says police

The police have made public the perpetrator accused of murdering Nira Pandey in Kapan.

In a press conference held by the Central Bureau of Investigation on Sunday, SSP Dinesh Acharya said that Pandey, a shopkeeper, was killed during an attempted robbery.

SSP Acharya informed that Binod BK from Jhapa stole the necklace she was wearing and around Rs 12,000 cash from the counter after stabbing Pandey.

Pandey, who used to run a kitchen supply store, was murdered in the afternoon on 20th April at her shop in Saraswati Nagar, Kathmandu.

Pandey was stabbed leaving her with injuries on her neck and other body parts. She was rushed to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, where she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
