Thirty-four injured and two dead in bus accident; over 2000 public transport accidents in 2080

Thirty-four people were injured and two succumbed to their injuries when a bus veered and fell from the road at Ghansikuwa, Byas Municipality of Tanahu district, as it was heading towards Pokhara from Dharan.

Those injured passengers are being treated at the local Damauli Hospital and Ratnahari Hospital, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohan Bahadur Khand, while some of the injured ones are being taken to Pokhara for further treatment.

According to data from Nepal Police, in two quarters of the year 2080, 2588 accidents involved public transportation vehicles such as buses, microbuses, and three-wheelers such as tuk-tuks/tempos.
