Municipality offers free health insurance to 1780 households

Roshi Rural Municipality in Kavre district has offered free health insurance to 1,780 households.

The rural municipality covers insurance premiums, benefiting citizens aged 60 and above and 54 individuals with disabilities. Additionally, 886 families will receive coverage from the federal government.

About 37.31% of Roshi’s population now has health insurance, according to the Chief of the Health Section of the rural municipality, Ganga Shrestha.

Rs 6.25 million was allocated for senior citizens’ healthcare in the last fiscal year. The municipality also launched a free anti-rabies vaccination drive for dogs and cats. The initiative aims to ensure healthcare for all residents.
