A helicopter of Manang Air en route to Solukhumbu crashed in Lobuche this morning.

According to Civil Aviation Authority co-spokesperson Gyanendra Bhul, the helicopter of Manang Air 9N-ANJ, which was headed to pick up tourists from Lukla at Solukhumbu at 7:13 in the morning, met with an accident.

After the accident, the helicopter caught fire. The helicopter only had the pilot on board. Pilot Prakash Kumar Sedhain, who sustained injuries in the accident, was transported to Kathmandu for treatment.

However, the cause of the accident has not been revealed. It is assumed that the helicopter crashed due to imbalance.
