Lawmaker and medical college owner Sunil Sharma arrested for fake education certificate

The police have apprehended Nepali Congress parliamentarian Sunil Sharma. A unit from Nepal Police’s Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) detained him in Kathmandu on the present day, as communicated by Deputy Inspector General Kuber Kadayat, the spokesperson for Nepal Police.

The legislator, who secured his position from the Morang-3 constituency, has been taken into custody due to allegations of fraudulent activities connected to his educational credentials.

A certificate said to be issued from an institution in India was revealed to be fake. Sharma, who owns Nobel Medical College, had pursued MBBS based on the certificate.
