A total of 4,282 individuals affected by the earthquake on November 3rd in Aathbiskot Municipality of Rukum West have now received the first installment of government assistance designed for building temporary shelters. They were each granted Rs 25,000, and this financial aid has been deposited into their bank accounts.

The local government allocated Rs 175 million from the District Disaster Management Fund to assist in managing temporary shelters for the affected population.

Over 9,000 people have been identified as eligible with additional amounts for other affected individuals set to be deposited as soon as their bank accounts become operational.
