Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) demolished unauthorized structures constructed near the Dhobi Khola river bank in Devinagar, Anamnagar on December 21, 2022.

KMC Police Superintendent Dinesh Aryal informed that the metropolis used dozers to take down illegally built structures after the encroachers didn’t pay heed to their notice.

After the KMC started demolishing the structure, the settlers and those operating businesses in the encroached structures were seen moving their belongings in a hurry.

The metropolis had earlier issued a notice in July, requesting to remove all illegal structures constructed on the public property.
