The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, in conjunction with the National Examination Board, has rolled out a “pilot project” for allocating examination centers.

Spearheaded by Minister Sumana Shrestha, the initiative aims to minimize irregularities starting with the upcoming Class 12 Board Examination in Kathmandu for now.

The software utilizes advanced algorithms to calculate the distance between each school and the examination center. Taking into account factors such as the number of students and available seats, the software employs latitude and longitude coordinates to ensure precise allocation.

The software and its methodology have been made openly accessible on GitHub.
