Ministry of Health and Population has confirmed two new COVID-19 related deaths.

A permanent resident of Godavari-4, Kailali was admitted to Dhangadi Nawajiwan Hospital after having health problems.

The swab sample of 46-years-old male was collected and sent for PCR test. His test report mentioning coronavirus positive arrived on June 14.

He was sent to Seti Provincial Hospital the same day. The man died at 7:52 pm on June 17 while undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, a 43-year-old female also succumbed to coronavirus infection.

According to health ministry, the resident of Lamkichuha-2, Kailali was admitted to Nepalgunj Medical College, Kohalpur after suffering head injury on June 13.

Her swab sample was collected before conducting a surgery for subdural hematoma and was sent to Bheri Hospital Laboratory.

She died on June 16 while her test report arrived only on June 17.
