Trishuli update: Two bodies recovered

Two more bodies have been recovered from the Narayani River. This brings the total number of bodies found to 23 out of the 65 passengers initially reported missing.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shailendra Thapa, Co-Spokesperson of the Armed Police Force (APF), stated that the recovery was carried out by the Special Service Bureau. The bodies were retrieved by security personnel from the Border Out Post, with assistance from the Triveni team mobilized at the border, Nepal Police, and local representatives.

Of the 23 bodies recovered so far, 15 have been identified. Identification of the remaining bodies is ongoing, with eight males and one female still unidentified.

The incident involved two buses: one from Ganapati Deluxe Travel, with registration number Bagmati Province 001 Kha 2495, traveling from Kathmandu to Gaur, Rautahat, and another from Angels Travels, with registration number Bagmati Province 03-006 Kha-1516, en route from Birgunj to Kathmandu.
