Kathmandu, September 8
Individuals and families leaving Kathmandu for Dashain will now be able to book their tickets in advance starting September 17.
A meeting of government and private stakeholders including transportation entrepreneurs held today made the decision to this effect. They will also set up help desks across Kathmandu valley to assist people with their advance ticket booking.
The government has assured all passengers that action will be taken against anyone who overcharges passengers.
Dashain, the biggest festival of Nepal begins on September 26 with Ghatasthapana. The 15-day festival will conclude on October 9.
