Shots fired to sieze 490 grams of meth

On Tuesday, the Kathmandu Metropolitan Crime Investigation Division apprehended Avinash Rai from Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur, who was attempting to sell methamphetamine ice for 5.5 million rupees. He had 490 grams of it.

After Rai resisted arrest, the police fired a round to bring him under control, as informed by spokesperson DSP Ravindra Regmi of the Crime Investigation Division.

Half a kilogram of Ice Drug was seized from Rai, and shots were fired in the process, injuring Rai on the right side. He is currently undergoing treatment at the National Trauma Center.
