Sandeep Lamichhane has filed an appeal with the Patan High Court to overturn the judgment rendered by the Kathmandu District Court in a rape case.

Accompanied by his legal team, Lamichhane appeared before the High Court on Thursday to initiate the appeal process.

His legal representative, advocate Saroj Krishna Ghimire, confirmed that Lamichhane is seeking to annul the verdict delivered by the Kathmandu District Court.

The District Court had previously sentenced the cricketer to eight years in prison in connection with the rape case.
