Ruling coalition reaches agreement to hold elections on November 20 (Mangsir 4)

Parties of the ruling coalition, on Wednesday, reached an understanding to hold the elections for the members of House of Representatives and the members of Provincial Assembly on November 20 (Mangsir 4).

The next Cabinet meeting, scheduled to take place on 5th August, Friday, will take a decision to that effect and officially announce the elections.

The meeting of the senior leaders of the ruling five parties held on Wednesday at Baluwatar came to an agreement to make the decision. “The next Cabinet meeting will take a formal decision,” said a senior Nepali Congress leader present in the meeting, Ram Chandra Paudel.

President of Nepali Congress and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Maoist Center) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal, NC leader Paudel, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal and Janata Samajwadi Party Chair Upendra Yadav were in attendance of the meeting.
