“Remove poverty, not the poor” – independent youth members of the civic society and street vendors demonstrated outside the City Hall in Kathmandu demanding better management of the city’s street hawkers and vendors.

With a slogan, Garib ko Chameli, protesters sought accountability for the municipal police actions, alternative solutions of the prevailing issue, and reminded Mayor Balendra Shah ( Balen) and Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol of their campaign promises to work towards better management.
