Rastriya Swatantra Party’s President Rabi Lamichhane appointed Minister for Home Affairs

Former television personality turned politician, president of the Rastriya Swatantra Party Rabi Lamichhane has been sworn in as the Minister for Home Affairs of Nepal. Registering his candidacy from Chitwan 02, Lamichhane secured a seat to the HoR in the 2022 Nepalese general elections.

Rastriya Swatantra Party, which supports constitutional socialism and participatory democracy was founded in July 2022. With 20 elected members to the House of Representatives (HoR), Rastriya Swatantra Party succesfully emerged as the fourth biggest party of Nepal in the 2022 Nepalese general elections.
