Rastra Bank begins exchanging new notes for Dashain festival

Nepal Rastra Bank has started exchanging new notes today for Dashain, Tihar and Chhath festivals in Nepal.

This year too, the bank has set a limit of Rs 18,500 which can be collected with one bundle of 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 denominations each.

Nepal Rastra Bank’s Currency Management Department has informed that even though they have started distributing new notes from today at the central office of Nepal Rastra Bank in Kathmandu, new notes can be exchanged outside the valley only from September 18.
