The president of NGO Federation of Nepal (NFN), Morang, Rajendra Dhakal has been taken into custody after being accused of sexual misconduct with a minor.

55-year-old Dhakal, was arrested from his home in Biratnagar-12 on Wednesday for sexually abusing a 12-year-old boy.

According to the District Chief of Police, Dipak Shrestha, the accused was taken into custody after receiving complaints and is under investigation.

Dhakal is also the president of Education Helpline and his custody period is extended for a deeper investigation into the matter.
