Nepal Army defuses 65 explosives possibly dating back to Maoist conflict era

Nepal Army has successfully defused 65 explosives discovered near a helipad belonging to the Sankhuwasabha Range district police office on January 25.

The explosives, suspected to be remnants from the Maoist conflict era, were found abandoned during a routine clean-up operation, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ghanshyam Shrestha, the Sankhwasabha District Police Chief.

The discovery prompted the immediate intervention of the Nepali Army to ensure the deactivation of the potentially hazardous devices.
