National action plan on business and human rights launched

The Minister for Labour, Employment, and Social Security, Sharat Singh Bhandari, unveiled the ‘National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights 2080/81-2084/85 BS’ during a program organized by the Ministry on Tuesday.

Minister Bhandari stated that the primary objective of the Action Plan is to encourage businesses to operate responsibly while upholding and protecting human rights.

Tap Bahadur Magar, Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), revealed that the Action Plan integrates 35-point suggestions provided by the NHRC to enhance its scope and impact.
