Loan shark victims arrive Kathmandu again for justice

Kathmandu Metropolitan City Police barred the victims of loan sharks, who arrived in Kathmandu seeking justice, from entering Khula Manch on Monday evening.

A total of 85 loan shark victims arrived Kathmandu yesterday, after walking on foot for 11 days from 8 different districts, to request action against unscrupulous money lenders.

Similarly, they have demanded to cancel the Tamsuk system, an informal legal document, which has been used by loan sharks to exploit poor and illiterate people.

Meanwhile, KMC Mayor Balendra (Balen) Shah, via his social media account, stated that the loan shark victims are requested to stay at Shantibatika, Ratnapark.
