Sasmita Ghimire, a senior law officer at Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), accused Mayor Balendra Shah of subjecting her to psychological harassment.

Ghimire, in her social media announcement, stated that she has initiated legal proceedings against Mayor Shah, citing mistreatment and unjust removal from her responsibilities.

According to Ghimire, under Mayor Shah’s administration, she was systematically sidelined and deprived of her duties without valid reasons.

In her statement, Ghimire also mentioned the lack of basic accommodations, such as a chair to sit on in her office.
