Photo and video journalists outside the gates of Sainik Manch, Tudikhel, symbolically resorted to a “camera down” demonstration after being barred from capturing photos and videos at an event commemorating Democracy Day, organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to reports, journalists expressed frustration over not being granted permission to document the event despite possessing passes issued by the Information Department.

It was stated that additional “special entry passes” were deemed necessary for news gathering purposes.
