Government to extend ongoing lockdown modality till July 22

Nepal government has decided to continue the ongoing relaxed modality of the lockdown until July 22.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday at Baluwatar agreed on giving continuity to the present modality of the nationwide lockdown, which was recently revised with restrictions easing to an extent.

The government had decided to open all government and private offices, banks and financial institutions, and other offices by relaxing the nature of complete lockdown on June 14.

The first phase of 21 days of current relaxed lockdown began from June 14 and there are still five days for it to end.

No changes has been made in the current modality of lockdown while extending it. Public gathering, educational institutions, and entertainment activities are still restricted.

Movement across borders, except for 20 specified entry points from India, is still restricted while domestic as well as international flights, excluding rescue flights, are also restricted.
