Government targetting to bring back 137 stolen artifacts from abroad

The Nepalese government has successfully repatriated 10 stolen idols from various countries within the past year.

The Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation revealed ongoing diplomatic efforts with nations including the US, France, China, India, Australia, and the UK to bring back a total of 137 stolen idols currently abroad.

In a progress report marking the government’s one-year completion, the ministry highlighted the success of these diplomatic initiatives. Six more stolen idols are currently in the process of being repatriated after completing necessary procedures.
