Bhumi Nanda Devkota, a leader associated with CPN Maoist in Gorkha district, has been apprehended by the police on allegations of rape.
According to SSP Bhupendra Khatri, the Kathmandu Police Chief, Devkota was taken into custody a few days ago following a complaint registered at Police Circle, Baneshwar, by a 17-year-old girl who resided in Devkota’s residence in Pepsicola
The complaint outlines that he had been raping the girl for one year.
