COVID-19: Daily update from Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population

Dr. Bikash Devkota, Speaker for the Ministry of Health and Population appeared on Facebook Live for the day’s media briefing. Here are a few updates:

Total no. of tests done in Nepal: 8,505 ( PCR: 5184 + Rapid Test: 3,321)

Total no. of tests done in Kathmandu: 4,020

No. of tests in Kathmandu in last 24 hours: 628

Tests outside Kathmandu: Dharan, Pokhara, Hetauda, Janakpur, Surkhet, Dhangadi, Dhulikhel, Bharatpur, Bhairawaha (PCR Tests)

Rapid Diagnostic Tests: 3,321

No. of people in isolation: 85

Inside Valley: 15

Outside valley: 70

(On suspicion of coronavirus, tests either yet to be done, or results are awaited)

Contact Tracing: Completed

No. of cases: 12 (11 active, 1 recovery)
