2,930 motorists booked in Kathmandu Valley in a single day

Kathmandu, August 15

In a single day, traffic police have taken action against 2,930 motorists in the Kathmandu Valley alone.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, they were fined at various places in the valley on Sunday for violating traffic rules.

Among them, 142 were booked for driving under influence, 72 for disobeying lane discipline, 84 for encroaching red light and 38 for not keeping proper number plates.

Similarly, 2,594 other vehicle drivers have also been booked for various offences, says the office.
