A 36-year-old male, who had tested positive for Covid-19, died in Gulmi district on Saturday night. He is the second person to have died of coronavirus infection in the district.

The male, from Dhurkot Rural Municipality-4, died while undergoing treatment at Tamghas District Hospital at 9:20 pm on Saturday.

He had returned from India on May 22 and was placed in quarantine where he tested positive for Covid-19 on May 25.

He had been transferred to the isolation ward of the hospital a day after testing positive.

With this, Nepal’s Covid-19 death tally has reached 19, while total cases standing at 5,335.
