10 killed and 16 injured in jeep accident

A jeep accident has claimed the lives of 10 individuals and left 16 others injured in Tinau Rural Municipality -6, Palpa.

The incident occurred around 4:50 PM on Tuesday when a jeep traveling from Dumre to Chidish crashed near Eco Farmhouse in Masyam, Palpa.

The driver of the jeep, Dan Bahadur Chidi (45), a resident of Tansen Municipality-10 in Palpa, has been apprehended by the authorities.

According to police, the jeep lost control and plunged about 300 meters off the dirt road.

The injured victims were swiftly transported to Lumbini Medical College for urgent medical attention.
