ANFA vice president arrested

The vice president of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), Dawa Lama, was apprehended by the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office of Nepal Police.

AIG Deepak Thapa confirmed Lama’s arrest with his involvement in the illicit trade of brown sugar.

The arrest follows a prior conviction in 2064 BS, when the Patan High Court convicted him of involvement in drug trafficking.

The court’s verdict sentenced him to five years of imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 5000. However, Lama evaded serving his sentence and failed to pay the imposed fine.
