260 rescued from human trafficking from Birgunj transit in one year

A total of 260 individuals believed to be at risk of trafficking were rescued from the Birgunj transit point along the Nepal-India border in Parsa in one year.

257 women and girls while three male children were among the rescued.

Maiti Nepal, Ashish Social Service Nepal, Aafanta Nepal, Tiny Hands Nepal, and Nepal Police are surveilling possible human trafficking via Birgunj along the Nepal-India border.
