After receiving directives from the District Administration Office Kathmandu to disperse, the meter interest victims, who had been protesting from Shantibatika, staged a demonstration on Friday.

On Thursday, the Durbar Marg Police Circle instructed the victims to vacate the area, prompting them to initiate the protest.This morning, they conducted a demonstration at Shantibatika.

The protestors allege that the government is displaying an authoritarian character by imposing a ban on peaceful demonstrations. They further claim that the government is attempting to mask its incompetence repeatedly and feigning resolution of the issue.
