Prime Minister and Nepali Congress Chair Sher Bahadur Deuba has emerged victorious in the election of the House of Representatives (HoR) from Dadeldhura district.
This is the seventh straight victory of Deuba from his home district Dadeldhura.
Of the cast 51,203 votes, Deuba won by securing 25,534 votes leaving behind his closest rival, independent candidate Sagar Dhakal who garnered 13,042 votes.
With this, Nepali Congress has maintained their lead in 41 constituencies while claiming wins in 13 constituencies.
CPN-UML, right behind Nepali Congress, has claimed wins in 3 constituencies while maintaining lead in 42 constituencies.
Meanwhile, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidates have won in three Kathmandu constituencies. Sobita Gautam secured victory in Kathmandu-2, Ganesh Parajuli in Kathmandu-7 and Biraj Bhakta Shrestha in Kathmandu-8.
The popular candidates of the recently formed party, Toshima Karki and Rabi Lamichhane are currently maintaining a lead in their respective constituencies.
