Prohibitory orders issued in 42 districts of Nepal
A total of 42 districts have issued complete or partial lockdown in a bid to curb spread of coronavirus outbreak.
As the COVID-19 infection has been rapidly increasing across country of late, the local administrations of 31 districts have issued full lockdown whereas prohibitory orders are issued in 11 districts.
Bardiya district has issued a complete lockdown since this morning. According to the Bardiya District Administration Office, the district has imposed full lockdown from 6:00 am today until 6:00 am on May 14.
Similarly, a prohibitory order has been issued by Bajhang and Baitadi beginning today.
Arghakhanchi, Kapilvastu, Dhading, Nuwakot, Dhanusha, Dailekh are other districts that have also issued prohibitory orders.
The three districts of the Kathmandu Valley — Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur have imposed a week-ling prohibitory orders since April 29, with a probability of another week’s extension.
Though the Council of Ministers is said to have decided to extend the Valley’s prohibitory orders by another week, no public notice has been issued regarding the same as of yet.
