The Discipline In-charge (DI) position in schools within KMC to be removed

The role of Discipline In-charge (DI) positions will be eliminated in schools located within Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC).

Sitaram Koirala, the education officer of KMC, stated that this decision follows complaints regarding the disciplinary staff causing fear and psychological distress among young students.

There have been allegations including the use of physical punishment on students. The metropolis has communicated officially to schools, instructing them not to appoint individuals for discipline in-charge roles.
