Aarti Giri Rawal, the wife of marital rape-accused judge Bhuwan Giri, was apprehended by the police in front of the Supreme Court gates.

As she arrived at the court, she stated that she won’t protest but will ask for justice, and then was taken into police custody.

She had commenced a hunger strike at Shantibatika since Monday evening.

On Sunday afternoon, 14th January, Aarti had attempted self-immolation within the Supreme Court premises.

Giri was arrested on April 11th last year but was subsequently released on bail.

Aarti is demanding his continued incarceration.
