A total of 26 Nepali nationals have arrived in Nepal from Myanmar in a Myanmar Airforce Flight today in the first phase of rescue carried out by Nepal government.

The aircraft arrived will fly back home with Myanmarese nationals stranded in Nepal for the past two months after the government suspended all international flights with the enforcement of a national lockdown to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Those rescued from Myanmar will be kept in institutional quarantine for 14 days before they can go home.

They were taken to a holding center in Basundhara of Kathmandu whereas provinces concerned will later transfer them to the quarantine center of their choice.
