Nepal Police have apprehended two Indian nationals following an alleged robbery in Sarlahi.

The suspects, identified as Jirendra Raut from Motihari, India, and his accomplice Shani Singh, were intercepted by police during the act.

Upon encountering, the suspects tried to flee, after which police personnel opened fire.

During the arrest, Raut sustained a knee injury from police gunfire and is currently receiving medical treatment at the provincial hospital in Malangwa.

According to the District Police Office Sarlahi, the apprehended individuals are wanted in connection with approximately a dozen cases of kidnapping and hostage-taking in India.
