Two rhinos fell victim to poachers in Chitwan National Park. The bodies of a 6-year-old and an 18-year-old female rhinoceros were discovered in a newly dug pit southeast of Satarchuli post.
The perpetrators have removed the horns from both rhinos.

According to information officer Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, an investigation was initiated promptly upon learning of this incident on Thursday evening.

The pit’s timeline suggests the smaller rhino met its demise three days ago, while the other one was approximately ten days prior.

According to a report from Chitwan National Park, a total of 234 rhinos have been found dead in the last nine years due to various reasons. Of these, 167 died from natural causes, while the remaining 67 succumbed to probable causes such as poaching, electric current, diseases, poison, falling into pits, and other factors.
