Two foreign nationals lost their lives while visiting the Khumbu region in Solukhumbu, Nepal. The deceased have been identified as Elizabeth Dairo (42) from Britain and Wenshuo Dong (26) from China.
According to reports from the District Police Office in Solukhumbu, Elizabeth Dairo, who had been staying at a hotel in Gorakshep of Khumbu Pasang Lhamu rural municipality-4, suddenly collapsed around 5:00 pm on February 14. Dairo, who arrived in Lukla on February 7, was en route to the Everest Base Camp.
Similarly, Wenshuo Dong, the Chinese national, was found unconscious by passersby on February 13. Despite efforts made during the rescue operation, Dong succumbed. He had arrived in the region on February 6 and was reportedly returning from the Renjo La Pass at the time of the incident.
