Warm weather is most likely to continue in the region as Nepal’s Department of Hydrology and Meteorology issues a weather update. According to the update, the department has cautioned terai residents to be mindful of warm winds amidst scorching heat. Meanwhile, Kathmandu Valley’s is expected to record a maximum of 33 degree Celsius today. On Tuesday, the temperature was recorded at 28.5 degrees Celsius.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has indicated partly to mostly cloudy conditions in the hilly areas of Nepal, including Koshi and Sudurpaschimim Province. The rest of the country is experiencing mostly clear skies. These weather patterns are attributed to the combined effects of local winds, westerly winds, and a low-pressure system around Bihar, India.

Tonight, the weather will stay partly to mostly cloudy in the Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with clear skies expected elsewhere. Light to moderate rain, with occasional thunder and lightning, is anticipated in some areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in one or two locations in the hilly regions of Lumbini.
