The Public Service Commission (PSC) has called for re-application for civil service examination after losing data of the applicants who submitted their application for upcoming exams of various government job vacancies.

The data of more than 4 lakh applicants for the Loksewa exam has been lost due to a problem in the server of the National Information Technology Center. Although the officials are trying to recover the data, the chance to retrieve the lost data is extremely minimal.

According to Toya Narayan Subedi, the spokesperson for the Commission, only previous applicants should submit their application again before June 1 and they won’t have to pay any extra fee for re-application.

Subedi informed that the Commission has payment records of previous applications and only the candidates who already paid the fees and had applied earlier will be shortlisted on the basis of those records.

Meanwhile, the Commission has also mentioned that the exam dates, earlier scheduled for mid-May, have been revised and the new exam schedule will be published soon.
