President Ramchandra Paudel, who was receiving treatment in New Delhi, has witnessed improvements in his health condition and has been discharged from the hospital.

President Paudel was undergoing treatment for a respiratory ailment at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for 11 days.

According to Chintan Paudel, son of President Paudel, he will be returning home on a scheduled flight of Nepal Airlines at 8:30 pm today.

Although President Paudel was allowed to leave the hospital after improvement in his health condition, doctors have suggested he take complete rest for at least 3 weeks.

The President was taken to India from TU Teaching Hospital on a chartered flight on April 19 after he complained of shortness of breath.
